The Ontario Hockey Association has announced their Player of the Year award for the 2022β2023 season.
The award, which was handed out during the annual meeting of the Ontario Hockey Association at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort & Conference Centre on Saturday, was given to Canadiens Captain #9 Tyler Fukakusa.
Fukakusa, who re-joined the Canadiens for his second season, scored 35 goals and added a league-high 70 assists for 105 points during the regular season before adding 4 Goals and 11 assists for 15 points in 11 Games played during the 2023 OJHL Playoffs.
The now 20-year-old Fukakusa committed to NCAA Division I RIT in Rochester, NY, during his 88-point rookie campaign in the OJHL in 2021β2022.
